better let the pictures speak

i found these images really ingenious, worthy of note and...motivating

"the richness i achieve comes from nature, the source of my inspiration"

My best Acquaintances are those
With Whom I spoke no Word—
The Stars that stated come to Town
Esteemed Me never rude
Although to their Celestial Call
I failed to make reply—
My constant—reverential Face
Sufficient Courtesy.

Emily Dickinson

"study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. it will never fail you."

"man has been endowed with reason, with the power to create, so that he can add to what he's been given. but up to now he hasn't been a creator, only a destroyer. forests keep disappearing, rivers dry up, wild life's become extinct, the climate's ruined and the land grows poorer and uglier every day"

"... everything in nature is lyrical in its ideal essence, tragic in its fate, and comic in its existence"

"nature teaches more than she preaches. there are no sermons in stones. it is easier to get a spark out of a stone than a moral"

"those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts"

pardon me. i'm really into this kind of greenie thingy. don't really know why

perhaps cz i grew up in a village surrounded with the really astounding and astonishing package of picturesque and scenic panorama

almost everything could be experienced there:
climbing trees, flying kites, making / decorating all sorts of wau (my eldest brother is an expert in this), making/playing meriam buluh and all sorts of mercun esp during 'eid festivals, playing/running in the paddy field, catching ikan sekila/ikan laga, get bitten by the leeches and pacat and screaming like.. huish, swimming in the river and sea nearby the home, witnessing the cow gave birth (suddenly sentimental)

and playing various kinds of games like tekkejor, teddecok, tennusuk, bola racung, bola bayang, bola katok, maen getoh, guli, polisentri n etc (wth are these games? ha ha.. only my childhood friends know, i think)

oh, what a wonderful old days..
