who r we to say "no" or "wait"?

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in a titah, has stressed that Brunei Darussalam has no option other than to obey all the demands of Allah the Al-Mighty as its foremost obligation. One of the ways to this end, His Majesty pointed, is by implementing Islamic laws but without side-lining conventional civil laws. In this regard, His Majesty further pointed, Brunei Darussalam has been and is making a beautiful and unique undertaking by islamising or aligning all its Laws to Islamic requirements in order to fulfill Allah the Al-Mighty's commands. The monarch was speaking at the opening of the International Seminar on Islamic laws carrying the theme: "Towards Implementing Islamic Laws". The event took place at the Brunei's Defence International Exhibition Centre, BRIDEX, in Jerudong this morning. His Majesty explained that the implementation of Islamic Laws constitutes His Majesty's primary aspiration, which His Majesty has voiced repeatedly, but which, until now it is still being addressed.

His Majesty Titah 1:

"Although Brunei Darussalam is small, this should not impede us from taking steps toward implementing Islamic Laws because as Muslims, we are obligated to implement it in fulfilling the demands of Allah the Al-Mighty. When Islamic Laws are in place, only then this glorious land can be called Baldatun Taibatun Warabun Ghafur or a good nation and Allah is most merciful. We have no option other than to obey all Allah's commands. This is one of our obligations. One of the commands is to implement His laws. These are Islamic Laws in general. On 15th July 1996 and at a meeting of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council on 13th March 2011, I had especially spoken on Islamic Criminal Laws. This, too, should be given serious and immediate attention. We can no longer say "no or wait" because we already have everything, we have the capability and the power to implement it. It is not appropriate if we continue to say no or wait. Who are we in the presence of Allah the Al-Mighty to say "no or wait" when the laws are not newly legislated, but have been stipulated in the Al-Qur'an and hadiths since the year 1400? Moreover, where are we with the Al-Qur'an and hadiths? Because of this, I am most beckoned, without any hesitation, to see an Islamic Law Act exists and implemented while not denouncing Conventional Laws, which will also continue to be adopted. This means that an Islamic Law Act is needed, whilst at the same time Conventional Civil Law Act is not sidelined".

vote for hudud

non-Muslims should not be afraid of hudud

while

Muslim leaders should comprehend clearly about hudud,
so that they would not be hesitant in implementing it in their countries.

this perfect laws is suitable at anywhere and at anytime.

there's just no excuses in not applying it in Malaysia, the so-said Islamic country.

the video above is taken from youtube, it's about hudud for non-Muslims, delivered by my favourite ustaz, ustaz Azhar Idrus :)

cth:

situasi 1:
A: erm, Tabung Haji kat Jalan TAR ade x?
B: mane ade la kat situ, giler.

situasi 2:
C: Weh, tadi boleh pulak client aku ajak tengok wayang sama2 lps lunch.
D: Babi sangat kann..

dan banyak lagi situasi2 yg rimas aku dibuatnya bile mendengar perkataan2 x baik sebegitu.

x elok biasekan diri anda berkate2 seperti 'gile', 'bodo', 'bangang', bengong', 'babi' dan yg sewaktu dgnnya dlm percakapan seharian. nanti jadi habit, susah nak buang. pastu bila dah ada anak2, anak2 pula terikut2. kita mesti taknak anak2 kita cakap camtu kan..

btw cakap dgn gaya cmtu x cool / x sempoi / x moden / x bff sgt pn.

ingt, ucapan / kata2 itu 1 doa. kalau x kena kat org lain yg dipanggil sedemikian rupa pun, ditakuti terkena kat diri sndiri je.

k, peace ^_^v

[Hassan Al Basri]

endless rewards

Six easy ways to earn rewards even after death:

1) Give a copy of Qur'an to someone. Each time one reads from it, u gain.
2) Donate a wheelchair to a hospital. Each time sick person uses it, u gain.
3) Participate in building a Masjid.
4) Place water cooler in a public place.
5) Plant a tree. U gain whenever a person, animal sits in its shade or eats from it.
6) And the easiest of all, sharing this message with all people.

Even if 1 applies any of the above, u gain... InsyaAllah :D

10 useless matters

Ten useless matters according to Imam Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah

➀ - Knowledge that is not acted on.

➁ - The deed that has neither sincerity nor is based on following the righteous examples of others.

➂ - Money that is hoarded, as the owner neither enjoys it during this life nor obtains any reward for it in the Hereafter.

➃ - The heart that is empty of love and longing for Allah SWT, and of seeking closeness to Him.

➄ - A body that does not obey and serve Allah SWT.

➅ - Loving Allah SWT without following His orders or seeking His pleasure.

➆ - Time that is not spent in expiating sins or seizing opportunities to do good.

➇ - A mind that thinks about useless matters.

➈ - Serving those who do not bring you close to Allah, nor benefit you in your life.

➉ - Hoping & fearing whoever is under the authority of Allah SWT & in His hand.

May we stay away from the above-mentioned matters, inshaAllah, ameen..

Ramadhan kareem to all Muslims :)

distance / absence makes my heart grow fonder

salaam..

i miss my final-year / 4th year IIUM Gombak roommates and the moments we spent the time chatting, eating, doing nothing, and doing almost anything together. never did i have such wonderful roommates as them (awaw n ming2), except in KMPh (si kechik, kayna n marie). ohh, how i miss KMPh, the masjid there, lecturers and most importantly, my roommates there! awaw n ming2 are equally awesome as si kechik, k-na n marie. i miss them!!

for me, having roommates that one enjoys the company of each other is very pivotal. this is because, most of the time one spends will be with their roommates. they affected each other so very much. their GPA, CGPA, emotional well-being, stress / pressure level, or in general, the happiness depends on the roommates, especially for one who spends most of the time by being in the room. like me. though i did go out about once per 2 weeks, my bachelor degree years were spent mostly by being in the campus.

for example, in the first year of study in gombak, my roommates were of the same-age with me, but the room that we got was the one which did not have any compartment. one room in my mahallah / residential college will have 4 roommates. therefore, the four of us can see each others' activities without any blockade. there was no privacy at all, which means, i don't prefer that. and i'm pretty sure that everyone else would want some sort of privacy, right?

when i was in the 2nd year, i was placed with 3 seniors. the three of them are two years older than me. they were nice, but i preferred to go to wawa's, ida's n ina's room n sometimes slept in their room. this might be due to comfortableness and adaptability which is easier with the same-age peers.

in the 3rd year,  the roommates were 2 seniors (again with 2 years older than me) and one of the same-age and the same course. this year was the most depressed and terrible one, especially in the final exam period. Allah really tested me. one of the roommates who has a radio played it like, OMG, from the moment my other roommates and i started to do revision for the exam (usually at night, after isya') up to fajr / dawn. i was really stressed because the other roommates and i didn't have the courage to tell her to stop playing the radio at a high volume and just listen it to herself by using earphone. that year was an awful one.

lastly, in the 4th year / final year, Alhamdulillah, Allah gave me the sweet fruit of patience i've been holding for 3 years. He rewarded me with awaw n ming2. how i wish they were my roommates from the first year of study. but then i realised that if i were to be given the good thing from the start, i might not learn anything about life in general. i thank Allah and being grateful for giving me such a sweet memory for the last 12 months in IIUM.

i heart IIUM, awaw n ming2.

roaring for glory *aummm*

yep, that was the theme for 2010/2011 University Sport Carnival (USC). for this season, i took part in 2 games as the condition had it that one student shall participate in not more than 2 competitions. before i was informed about that rule, i've registered for 100 metres sprint, volleyball and chess. later, i dropped the 100 m since the race will be held at the sayyidina hamzah stadium, which is the male sport complex, which means that the males can watch us competing for that glory.

nice serving techique!
to compare with what i had experienced during the sport carnival in my secondary school, the field was covered with big canvases to prevent us from being watched by the male students. i was impressed by such view cz it made me feel kind of secure. this is due to the 'aurah (part of body that we should cover as a Muslim/-ah) that might be exposed when we were running or play any sport which requires us to move our whole body aggressively. kudos from deep of my heart to my religious teachers for not only preaching us about Islamic teachings, but also practise it very well.

back to the volleyball, our Mahallah (arabic term for college) made it for the third place in the Group. though we didn't win any medals, we still enjoyed the 2 weeks training and not to be forgotten, the real matches.

a challenging, yet enjoying game
as for chess, in each team, there are 4 players and each player has to play for seven rounds. at first, i imagined that there will be like one hour gap for each round. but it turned out to be about more or less 10 minutes. what an exhaustive mind battle! hu hu. i went out from my room at 8.30 a.m. and came back at 7.15 p.m. To add to the weary day, at 8.30 p.m. i went to the closing ceremony with ida till 11.15 p.m. know what, i fell asleep when my roommate was prepared to show me something after she excitedly told me stories. ha ha. rarely happened before.

another thing which i forgot was my junior wanted to consult me on her assignment that she will be presenting on this tuesday. she has been contacted me since last week. but every night there were always something came. meeting with team manager regarding the sport, trainings, match, and etcetera. thank Allah it suddenly knocked my mind after 'Isha' prayer about that junior. she is one hardworking student, nice and good friend too. may she present well tomorrow.

haii. sy pacat. tergoda x tgk sy meliuk lentok~

as i'm about to sleep, i felt something itchy at my waist. ouh, that came from scars left by pacat, one type of blood-sucking worm. though the pacats gave me 4 'love bites,' all are around the waist, i think that was a good experience cz they are like the blood-cleaner since they only consume our dirty blood. hwargh~ *yawn* good night, sleep tight. recite sleeping prayer and utter shahadah before sleep k. wassalaam :)

i am pacat, again. my hobby is sucking people's blood. nyum2. ala2 vampire diaries gitew

lelaki, jadilah pelindung..

credited to iluvislam.com

lelaki: pelindung @ perosak?

One thing leads to another. Silap-silap lebih menjadi perosak daripada pelindung.

“Merosakkan?”
Yalah.

Wahai ar-rijal, bangkitlah kalian. Anda dikurniakan kelebihan berbanding kami, gunakanlah kelebihan tersebut. Janganlah ambil sifat kami.

sampai tiba saatnya nanti…

Yakinkah kita syurga milik kita?

Yakinkah?

(Hadis riwayat lmam Muslim)

kerana dia sentiasa menyedari,
niat mungkin terpesong sekalipun begitu murni,
kerana dia mengakui,
makhluk bertanduk dua sentiasa “ready”!

(Hadis riwayat Imam Ahmad)

Rajin-rajinkanlah kita sama2 membersihkan hati.

Glosari:

Ar-rijal:Lelaki,pemuda.
Husnul khatimah: Pengakhiran yang baik.

ramadhan the 4th

on the 4th of ramadhan,

while i was in maticulation centre in pj,
the final exam was just around the corner,

after performing fajr prayer,
at about 6 a.m
i got a phone call from my younger brother
who was in terengganu

he told me that my grandmother had just passed away

the moment my mother confirmed his news,
and repeated the same utterance,

i lost half of myself

which then took about months to recover
and to get full grip of myself back

the effect was so tremendous
that i never imagined how much it could have on me
since that was the first time in my life
i lost someone i love so much
in fact too much i love her
that it made me afraid to lose her
though i knew it will happen one day
no matter how much i wish to avoid it

whatever it is,
in every tear, He is there

weekend tales

this weekend supposed to be a very hectic one. for the two days that already passed, they made me lethargic. but for tomorrow, i'm not sure yet since my body seems like it needs a rest. a really relax one.

even before the weekend, my good friends and i went out and came back quite late at night.

on thursday night we went to wangsa walk for my friend who was fasting on that day wished to break her fast at the ayam penyek restaurant. so we ordered some menus and added with gado-gado. surprisingly i couldn't finish my rice cz i kept on eating gado-gado a bit, then ayam penyet (smashed chicken) with the rice a bit, then drink the mango juice a bit then continuously followed that order till my stomach was full and it couldn't accept anymore food. it looked like i was the one who was fasting. oh, i felt quite ashamed with both of my companions. then while looking at some dresses in the boutiques there,  i smell the seductive famous amous cookies and again, i bought two types of cookies there before heading to secret recipes to get a slice of cake. gosh. how come my appetite grows humongous at that night?

on friday morning i went out again with another good friend of mine to sg wang to shop for some bags, shoes and a few other stuff. we departed at 10 am and came back to college at 8 pm. fuh. bought a few bags, and one is for my beloved mum. planned to buy another bag for her before going home for 'eid festival since i knew that's her favourite. she loves handbag. :) btw, i want to express my thanks to frh for accompanying and showing me the shops that sell bags at really affordable price. oh, and not to forget, i still couldn't resist my always-calling-for-food desire. so i bought some breads at my favourite bread story shop before we went out of the times square. but frh, kept on insisting for slurpee drink before we could get out of the mall. so just before we saw the lrt sign at the ceiling, we stopped at the 7e to buy 2 cups of cheezy slurpee. ohh.. what a delicious drink! no wonder frh really wanted to find it b4 we called the shopping off.

on saturday (today) morning, i planned to go to upm for a meeting for PERMATA (persatuan mahasiswa anak terengganu) society. however, as i woke up for fajr prayer at 6 (he he, these few days, i started to wake up early..), my head felt so heavy added with dried and a bit painful throat and completed with frequent sneezes which resulted into watery nose. ah, what a complete package of fever. realising this unsupportive state of my body for an hour train/lrt travel, i asked my friend to represent the society in the meeting and he can make it. thank u!

for tomorrow, my fabulous friends asked me to go to the spa, but for the time being, i'm not really into that kind of activity. so for tomorrow i plan to go to this one place to buy few blouses in the morning cz in the noon i got a very pivotal meeting with these 2 societies. so, f.e.v.e.r, dont u dare to come near me. i wont allow u to infect my body. shoo! shoo! :) *sneeze*

for friends

Ya Allah ...

Panjangkanlah umur sahabatku.

Amin Ya Rabbal 'Alamin

kawan..

Kawan..
Bila rasa ingin menangis.. hubungilah aku.. bukan aku nak suruh kau berhenti menangis... tapi mungkin aku boleh menangis dengan kau... tapi tak leh ramai sangat.. nanti habih air mata aku...

Kawan...
Jika terasa tiba2 nak melarikan diri... jauh dari masalah... hubungilah aku... aku takkan suruh kau berhenti.. tapi.. mungkin aku akan berlari bersama kau agar masalah kau boleh selesai... tapi jangan laju sangat, aku lari tak larat.. aku nak kejar.. kaki aku pendek...

Kawan..
Jika kau kecewa keluargamu tak bahagia.. beritahulah aku.. aku takkan buat kau benci kepada ibu bapa kau.. tapi..terimalah segala ketentuan Allah...

Kawan..

Sama-samalah kita 'topup' iman kita, bukan hanya kredit telefon setiap minggu..

''aku merinduinya''

perghh, pasal ape ek..? macam jiwang je.. yup. aku terlalu merinduinya.. sangatt..

Aku mahu sentiasa baik walaupun masa berlalu pergi..

ameen..

be strong INSIDE

Nabi mengingatkan kita: "Janganlah kamu menjadi ‘pak turut' yang sering berkata: "Jika orang di sekelilingku baik nescaya akan baik lah aku, namun jika mereka zalim, aku jua menjadi zalim". Tetapi hendaklah kamu menetapkan jiwa dan pendirianmu sehingga jika manusia baik, kamu baik bersama mereka, tetapi jika mereka buruk, maka kamu tidak menjadi buruk dan zalim (seperti mereka).
